Job Description

This position is responsible for the new adhesive products development to support strategic business growth objectives for EV Battery applications based on market needs in AP.
Responsibilities:
? Collaborate closely with regional marketing, sales team to identify the growth opportunities and prioritize the project pipeline at Battery tiers/OEM in AP.
? Develop new adhesives products for battery tiers /OEM in AP based on unmet needs.
? Provide the product recommendation, application guidance and on-site trial support for customer opportunities.
? Lead the product qualification and specification registration for OEMs in AP by working with global R&D/TS&D team.
? Work with lab technologists to develop experiment and testing plans, collect and analyze data.
? Interact with Battery Tiers /OEMs and value chain influencers to understand the industry technical trend and emerging application performance requirements, develop technology roadmap and multi-generation product plan.
Qualifications:
? Master or Doctor degree in chemicals or adhesive-related field.
? At least 10 years adhesive development experience. Experience in developing materials for use in EV battery is preferred. The industry experience in automotive is valuable.
? Broad chemistry knowledge of formulation (epoxy and/or PU and/or Acrylic).
? Experience with designed experimentation and statistics such as Six-Sigma methodologies.
? Exposure to project management tools is a plus.
? Established relationships across the industry value chain.
? Demonstrated strong technical capability, particularly in problem solving/analytical ability.
? Demonstrated capability of working with cross-functional teams for developing and commercializing new products and applications.
? Ability to take initiatives - identify problem and suggest solutions, proactively think with the team on product development and customer issues.
? Good learning agility and self-driven.
? Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
? Good interpersonal skills to work with others who have diverse skills, education, and backgrounds.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused global environment.
? Flexible with business travels (25-40%).
