Electrification Product Engineering & Development

As Director of Electrification Product Engineering & Development, this role is responsible for directing, motivating, and driving current and future growth opportunities within the electrification segment. Partnering with global GM’s Sales & Business Development Leaders, this person will focus on the acceleration of product development initiatives relating to electrification advancements.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Lead engineering team in development of new electrification products based on customer insight and product roadmaps
· Maintain a contemporary understanding of customer application requirements and trends within fastening and product assembly lines within the electrification space
· Provide direction, leadership, coaching and coaching to sales and product management leaders in order to engage effectively with OEM and tiers
· Participate in customer visits and engineering activities such as line walks, product design collaborations, value analysis and problem shooting activities etc.
· Participate in strategic planning sessions for segmentation and customer planning, and support new product development planning
· Develop performance measure systems to drive motivation, innovation and vitality.

Personal Specifications

· Engineering leadership experience with established network in E-Mobility and Energy Storage segments.
· Deep knowledge of critical sub-systems such as Battery, E-Motor, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, Chargers and system level integration.
· Leadership capabilities at a senior level with a proven track record working and leading teams in a multi-cultural global environment.
· Ability to breakdown complex sub-systems down to component level and identify application opportunities with current and new products.
· Experience working with customers and technical teams to develop new products or customize solutions.
· Strong project management, Financial literacy and customer engagement capabilities.
