Ensure effective financial operations and controls in both the US and China, maintaining compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Direct the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes on a quarterly and annual basis. Provide insightful analysis and scenario planning to guide decision-making and support the company’s strategic plan. Continuously refine financial models to inform growth strategies and investment decisions, ensuring the company’s financial plans align with its business objectives.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure the timely preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports. Regularly report financial results and key risk issues to the executive team and Board of Directors
• Capital Transactions: Play a lead role in capital-raising activities. Supervise financial due diligence and work closely with investors and external due diligence firms, serving as the primary finance liaison to coordinate data rooms, audits, and financial disclosures.
• Investor Relations: Help the Co-Founders and Co-CEOs prepare investor update materials, board presentations, and other communications to maintain transparency and inspire investor confidence in the company’s financial health and strategy.
• Cash Management and Treasury: Oversee the company’s cash flow, banking relationships, and capital structure. Develop strategies to ensure adequate liquidity; monitor cash balances and forecasts closely.
• Cost Control and Efficiency: Drive cost control initiatives and operational efficiency programs across the organization. Identify opportunities for expense reduction and margin improvement, and implement processes to optimize costs and improve EBITDA. Champion a culture of financial discipline by setting benchmarks and performance metrics that encourage prudent spending and resource allocation.
• Systems and Infrastructure: Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools (ERP, business intelligence, budgeting software, etc.) to support the scaling needs of the company. Lead any upgrades or integrations of ERP and cost management systems to improve financial reporting, automation, and data accuracy. Ensure that finance technology infrastructure is robust, efficient, and able to meet both US and China reporting requirements.
• Cross-Border Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performing global finance team spread across the United States and China. Foster collaboration and alignment between regional finance teams, ensuring consistent processes and standards. Provide coaching and development to team members, and cultivate strong team dynamics despite geographic separation. Leverage bilingual skills and cultural understanding to bridge communication between East and West, creating an inclusive team environment.
• Strategic Partner to Leadership: Serve as a strategic business partner to the Co-Founders/Co-CEOs and the executive leadership team. Offer financial insights and recommendations to inform key decisions around growth opportunities, market expansion, and operational improvements. Contribute to the formulation of the company’s long-term strategy and five-year plan, balancing aggressive growth with sustainable financial management. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dive into details, modeling various scenarios and advising on their financial implications.
Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive finance experience with significant leadership responsibilities. This should include experience as a Finance Director, VP Finance, CFO, or similar head-of-finance role. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders in both languages. Culturally savvy, with experience navigating cross-cultural business interactions between China and Western countries.

Familiarity with both US GAAP and Chinese GAAP/IFRS, and the regulatory environments in both the US and China. Ability to coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions.
