• A law degree from a reputable university in China
• China bar qualification will be a significant advantage
• Significant experience in providing legal advice on commercial contracts and a solid grasp of contracts law. At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a role focused on commercial contracts, obtained either in-house or in private practice
• Regional experience in Asia Pacific will be a plus though not required
• Strong drafting skills and ability to lead negotiations confidently
• Experience in privacy and personal data matters would be viewed favorably
• Strong team player with good communication skills, translating into ability to work with various internal and external stakeholders
• Independent worker able to work autonomously with limited supervision
• An analytical mind able to “see” the legal complexities of SEC’s business
• Strong organizational skills
