Requirements
Build and manage the team to accomplish company growth objectives for developing and implementing a highly scalable and performant infrastructure
Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to the Infrastructure team
Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners (AI Foundation, AI Infra, SRE, News Ranking and other related teams) to understand business needs, set technical roadmap for infrastructure/platform at company level (at Director level)
Lead or effectively delegate design of core infrastructure systems/platform
Work across teams, and effectively resolve collaboration issues with dependency and client teams to successfully deliver AI Infrastructure projects

5+ years of experience in architecting, developing, and shipping software products with large scale
3+ years of experience in building infrastructure/platform with large scale
Able to distill complex problems and drive toward creative solutions
Able to have deep end-to-end understanding of sophisticated distributed systems and can proactively detect problems and make improvement suggestions
Able to build a strong team through hiring, as well as mentoring/growing engineers by constantly challenging them with solid support
Experience in leading cross team/cross org projects/initiatives
Strong leadership and communication skills
MS or BS in computer science, mathematics, physics or other quantitative fields

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud based architecture (e.g. Amazon Web Services)
Strong interest in news media
