Your responsibility
- Responsible for building the underlying SDK of the web-based multimedia editor, including rendering engine and playback engine.
- Responsible for the development of backend distributed multimedia rendering engines.
- Responsible for optimizing the user experience of the front-end multimedia editor, including playback smoothness, seek speed and interactive operations.
- Providing technical support and solution capabilities for the company's multimedia infra development.
Qualifications
- Proficient in writing and speaking English professionally
- 3-8 years of experience in multimedia development, familiar with common av encoding/decoding protocols, packaging protocols, and transmission protocols.
- Proficient in the C/C++ programming languages, with experience in Rust being a plus.
- Familiar with one of the special effects rendering technologies based on OpenGL/WebGL/Metal/Vulkan.
- Strong entrepreneurship or prior experience at a high growth startup
- Ready to work remotely with other senior engineers in the Asia time zone with periodic evening meetings
Preferred skills
- Experienced in optimizing online audio and video playback, familiar with RTC media transmission performance optimization.
- Proficient in WebAssembly development.
- Familiar with front-end technologies such as WebGPU, WebCodec.
Our offering
- This position starts in Shanghai but will be rebased in Singapore. The candidate must be willing to relocate to our Singapore office in the future with periodic travel between Shanghai and Singapore. The company will sponsor required employment visas.
