Required
• Experience building and managing teams which deliver reliable products that scale
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and verbal/written communication (with both technical and non-technical audiences)
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Ability to lead technical discussions on a team
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Experience in application development and integration
• Ability to deliver results and manage performance of teams
• Ability to develop and motivate others
• Knowledge and understanding of web server technology
• Strong customer and results orientation
• Ability to effectively manage multiple large-scale, competing, high priority projects simultaneously with varying deadline
• Ability to architect and support localized international or global application implementations
• Ability to effectively manage different initiatives evaluating priorities and system impact
• Ability to be creative and think differently, challenging conventional wisdom, and drive new best practices
• Ability to achieve results working independently with limited guidance
• Understanding of infrastructure to support highly scalable microservices, including networking, cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks
• Excellent technical skills:
o Familiarity with front-end framework and backend development frameworks
o Solid understanding of Web applications, Web APIs, Web services and microservices development
o Software design patterns, OOP and software architecture.
o Relational database, document databases, ORM concepts
• Experience with change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management
Experience:
Required
• 8+ years’ experience in application development or related field
• 7+ years’ experience leading through the design, development, and release cycle
• 5+ years’ experience in working through design and architecture of complex application
• 4+ years’ experience managing direct reports
