Job Summary:
-Apply technical knowledge to develop new and existing products to meet market needs, and answer technical inquiries.
-Design and carry out laboratory experiments. Assist less experienced staff through the same process.
-Design, arrange and carry out plant trials, liaising when necessary with other technical and commercial teams.
-Keep sales and marketing teams, and department manager, up to date with developments on projects.
-Allocate short and medium term projects to self and other members of team. Plan, run and monitor progress on all projects to deliver results on time.
-Provide technical support for product and chemistry related inquiries. Participate in customer technical meetings and training events if required.
-Expected to identify opportunities for new projects.
Requirements:
-Master degree
-Experience in laboratory experimental work, preferably in related area.
-People & project management skills
-Ability to lead and motivate team of scientists.
-Ability to interact constructively within department and with other departments.
-Adaptable around changing project requirements and ability to priorities.
-Knowledge of IP and regulatory issues.
